We all know it’s no fun to be at a party and have the same costume as at least five other people. Besides, Halloween is a day for creativity, not conformity. From past experience, I’ve found that store-bought costumes just don’t do the trick. Growing up, my grandma would always sew all of our costumes, so we’d always be unique. Now that I’m all grown up (and I guess I’m too old to ask my grandmother to sew a costume for me), I’ve found new ways to get costume creative, and you can too!

This is a really fun couples idea and allows for creativity on both sides. The guy dresses like a nerd, complete with taped glasses, suspenders, and a Rubik’s cube. The girl dresses glamorously in the fanciest dress she can find, heels, purse, etc. It’s also funny if the boy dresses as the “beauty” and the girl is the “geek.”
2. Fanta Girls
The Spice Girls are old news, and it’s time to think outside of the box when it comes to girl group costumes. For a sassy group of girls, wear an orange, purple, red, or yellow mini-skirt and a tank top (different color for each girl).
